As you may remember, in lieu of mailing Christmas cards this year, I decided to make a donation to a local charity. I have done this for the last couple of years and really enjoyed learning about so many new nonprofits from our clients who have recommended their personal favorites when it comes to giving back in Raleigh and the surrounding area.
Instead of sending out traditional Christmas cards this year, I have a different idea. I’d like to make a donation to a local charity… but I need help deciding which one! As a local REALTOR®, I’ve had the pleasure of discovering numerous wonderful nonprofits through my clients who have shared their personal favorite charities in Raleigh and the surrounding areas.
I am thrilled to be a sponsor for this year’s All-in to Fight Cancer fundraiser in our great City of Oaks! Join me at the Ritz in Raleigh on Nov. 16, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. for an incredible event supporting an even more incredible cause.
It has been a busy November 2022 and I have loved every minute!

I was very excited to be a VIP sponsor of the Raleigh Ducks Unlimited Fall Banquet this year which took place on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2022, at the Kerr Scott Building. I want to thank everyone who joined us to make this event such a success. I hope you all like the tumblers!
All of the proceeds from this year’s event went directly to Ducks Unlimited for wetlands conservation efforts that do much more for our coastal ecosystems than simply help the everyday hunter. To date, Ducks Unlimited has allocated more funding to support conservation projects in North Carolina than the state has raised in fundraising efforts.
There are lots of local events planned for the new year! DU events are always fun and more importantly, the revenue generated from these events is critical to their mission and the future of waterfowl hunting.
All-In is a non-profit organization supporting our cancer community with poker tournaments to raise funds for local communities. Whether you’re a player, a spectator, or simply donate online, it’s a fun way to bring together and support anyone touched by this serious disease.
What’s Your Favorite Charity?
I am always looking for new ways to give back to the community. In lieu of mailing Christmas cards this year, I would rather make a donation to a local charity. I have done this for the last couple of years and really enjoyed learning about so many new nonprofits from our clients who have recommended their personal favorites when it comes to giving back in Raleigh and the surrounding area.
Email me your favorite charity at Ryan@HudsonResidential.com and whichever charity has the most nominations by Sunday, Dec. 18, 2022, at 5 p.m., I will donate my Christmas card money to this special cause.
There are so many people right here in Raleigh that are affected by housing insecurity, homelessness, and abuse. I wanted to help spread the word about a few non-profits that Raleigh has to help with these types of situations and also let you know about ways you can get involved if you are able.
