Lonerider Charity Pig Pick’n Recap

Wow, Saturday, November 9, 2019, was such an incredible day! Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Lonerider Hideout in Wake Forest for their family-style Charity Pig Pick’n to support our veterans. Check out some of the photos from the event below.

190 Plates Sold

BBQ plates were sold for $10 and proceeds were donated to the Wounded Warrior Project. We are excited to announce that 190 plates were sold as well as multiple bags of coffee – all benefitting the WWP! The leftover meals were donated to the USO at RDU. They were also very appreciative of the support for the troops.

In addition to grilling on the lawn, the NC State vs. Clemson game was on, and Your Mama’s New Boyfriend kept the party going with live music. I was hoping for a better outcome for the Wolfpack but it stung a little less because I was having such a great time with great friends.

The representative from the Wounded Warrior Project told Lonerider that this was the best group of people he has spoken to and mingled with, and I would have to agree! In total, $3,500+ was donated directly to Wounded Warriors thanks to the day’s efforts.

I am proud to have been a sponsor of this event along with NAPA – Walker Auto Parts and Raleighwood Media Group + Raleighwood Event Group. Lonerider and the Wounded Warrior Project are hoping to make this an annual event, and I hope they do too! I look forward to being a sponsor again next year. Thank you for your support. It was certainly a day to remember.
