A Historic Move Forward: Future Home of the NC Troopers Museum Secured

I recently had the distinct honor of representing the North Carolina Troopers Association in a truly meaningful real estate transaction—the purchase of land just south of Downtown Raleigh for the future North Carolina Troopers Museum. This wasn’t just about finding a piece of property. It was about helping create a permanent place to honor the lives, service, and legacy of our state’s Highway Patrol.
After a thorough search, we were able to secure a site that perfectly aligned with the project’s needs. Conveniently, it is located right across the street from the existing NC Highway Patrol Training Academy! This location made all the difference, offering both accessibility and symbolism for generations of troopers and their families.
Designed by SfL+a Architects, the North Carolina Troopers Museum will be a state-of-the-art facility built to honor the legacy of service through interactive exhibits, educational programming, and carefully curated historical collections. Rounding out the incredible team that’s been assembled, North Carolina’s own Metcon will lead the construction, building a facility that will feature a striking, modern design and include dedicated spaces for honoring fallen troopers, showcasing equipment and artifacts, and offering immersive experiences that connect visitors with the NC State Highway Patrol’s vital role in our state’s history. It’s more than a museum—it’s a place for remembrance, education, and community connection.

This week, I was proud to attend the project’s official groundbreaking ceremony. It was a powerful moment to stand on the site and witness the beginning of something that will serve as a point of pride for our entire state. This opportunity has been a true highlight of my career, and I’m incredibly grateful to have played a small part in helping make it happen.
